Dick Whittington and A Cat

Oct 18, 2014

Rutherglen Rep's annual pantomime will soon be here.  This year we bring you 'Dick Whittington and A Cat' by Gerry McCartan.

When Dick Whittington arrives in London it’s not long before he becomes disillusioned and is swindled out of his life savings. He decides to return home but a chance meeting with A Cat changes his mind. He is persuaded to run as a candidate for the Mayor Of London against the appalling Dan Moron. Moron will stop at nothing, including kidnapping, to win the election. Can Dick outwit Dan The Man? Will the legendary Inspector Jock McKilt have time to fill out all of his overtime forms? Will any of the audience return after the interval? All will be revealed in this idiotic modern take on a traditional old story.

Public performances this year will be as follows:

Monday 8th. December (7.15pm) Stonelaw Church Hall, Rutherglen
Saturday 13th. December (2pm) Kirkhill Halls, Cambuslang
Saturday 13th. December (6.15pm) Kirkhill Halls, Cambuslang

Tickets are priced at £7 (£6 concession) and can be purchased by telephoning 0141 646 0017, or online at the Rep website, www.rutherglenrep.org.uk/tickets
