Lunch (including Soup, sandwitches and tea or coffee) followed by a one act play.

Janet and her daughter, Kate, are destitute, burned out of their home and their livestock stolen by marauding English soldiers heading for Bannockburn.

Peggy and Nancy, a pair of camp followers, insist the women can avoid starvation by heading for the battlefield – there’s always plenty of work to be found after the battle.

Janet will have none of it but Kate is eager to play her part for Scotland and tend the wounded.  However, Peggy and Nancy have other plans for her...

Comic and sad by turns, this dram shows how tragedy is ever present even in victory, where the winners can be losers.
